I doubt it. Netflix dipped for very similar reasons to META and it kept dipping for weeks before the stock split finally got things running. In other words, expect a META stock split by next week.

Why is meta getting absolutely hammered

With meta, their spending is increasing faster than their revenue and people are like "this company is cooked, burn it to the ground". But with Tesla, they might actually post negative earnings next quarter and people are like "hold up, let him cook". I think the comparison is even worse when it comes to MSFT, which has just been getting beat down for months for no reason. Basically I'm just saying I think all of the mag 7 should trade at 300 PE, Goog 3000 EOY.

Absolutely. I was short META from $700, covered at $655, and flipped long at $648. I don't really target gaps, but the fact that this fell all the way to *May* prices was insane. A nearly six month bull run getting erased this way is something you might expect if a CFO got caught cooking the books or a company's flagship product was getting recalled for causing fatalities. This seems like it was just a perfect storm of profit-taking and panic selling. I don't necessarily expect a lightning quick recovery, and it very well could dip a bit more if there's a weak market next week, but opportunities like this don't come around too often.
