? I am still learning so it’s nice to discuss this. I did same with MDB and closed entire thing at 70% profit. Thing is, I SOLD short legs so them going worthless makes me money and the long leg I have doesn’t lose money fast enough for me to be in negative cause it’s 3 weeks out. This overall trade set up is suppose to take advantage of earnings IV crush. Cause of earnings the near term OTM calls were expensive and long term were almost at same price so I got to get a 3 week out call at 50 dollars only since I sold this Fridays call at xxxx ( I assume 120). I make 120 out of selling this Friday call and make more money cause the long dated call will go up cause stock went 10% up. This setup overall costed me only 100 (50 on OTM calls and 50 on OTM puts) and basically aims to take advantage of IV crush by selling near term options and I make more money if stocks actually moves as long as it doesn’t move 50% or more and goes to 120+. Planning to do it every earnings ngl since it worked 2/2 times. I didnt explain it all but can go into more detail with Vega and there are some yt videos on this strategy too just a bit different case of it.
