Civilian law enforcement officers would give names and badge numbers on request. These people don’t. Civilian law enforcement officers have to regularly comply with public information request laws about who they arrested, when and where they’re being sent. These guys don’t. These people are not LEO. If anything they’re secret police like the gestapo.

For example, on wind energy, we get a tax credit if we build a lot of wind farms. That's the only reason to build them. They don't make sense without the tax credit.”

I agree that the power is too broad, but I'm genuinely unsure of how the court will rule. I see conservative courts sparsely ruling in ways that land precedent, and this would be a landmark case. My initial thought is that they would push this matter on Congress to write into law. Which would likely end up back in court. It's quite a challenging matter to predict

people are too swayed by what they see in the media and dont know the reality. Not that I do, but my opinion on trump is that above all else he cares about legacy and name(ego) and he would not only lose a lot of support within his base (which he also really cares about) but he wouldnt risk the stain on his legacy and an outright refusal of the law. He always plays a tough lil brat but doesnt actually risk real confrontations with the constitution. He likes to troll and get people he hates angry. He may refuse judges orders for a time but always complies. He may deport someone illegally but once sued he returns them. He may "insight" a riot on the capital but he always maintains plausible deniability with his phrasing and timing. He toes the line and tests his limits. Also hes only allowed to do the things hes doing because congress allows it. Theyre cucking for him. On top of all that i think the military ultimately is not loyal to him but to the constitution and would never take his side over it. (which is required to become any sort of actual dictator)

Every single member of his cabinet should be prosecuted along with the speaker of the house. Also remember, his justification for tariffs is that it’s a national emergency but he’s only tariffing europe because of Greenland which he only wants cause he didn’t get the noble price. He’ll be sure under 42 usc 1983 for a constitutional violation while acting under color of law. The doj will defend him and the gov’t will likely pay any judgement. This is why Vance was talking about immunity, but he got it wrong. It’s qualified, not absolute immunity that is the test for liability under 1983.
