Im walking it back, theres alot to consider here for me. For instance: \- Anything the chinese do/announce or even tease could majorly fuck this entire thing (like Jensen mentioned) \- If Moore's law holds or accelerates somehow, yeah the junk chip accumulation could go out of control in the long run. \- Google/Anthropic/others could force OpenAI to speedrun their turnover causing a runaway situation with the accounting. Sorry, its midnight and i got work in the morning. you def gave me alot to think about with this comment though. Thanks for this insight.

You’re betting against financial accounting of capex and the technology’s life. It’s a blur between idle houses that went up 30% in 1 year vs clever accounting on chips that sit in a data rack. Why do I feel much more annoyed about paying for my law school applications and prep (<$10k) compared to the hundreds of thousands of dollars I’ve lost gambling on 0dtes, especially considering that the former will benefit me in a measurable way while the latter is just throwing money out the window????? At the same time, why am I even more annoyed about chipotle charging me for an extra side than I am even about the law school applications?

As much as I'd like them to shoot it down (non-US ber), they won't. The Repubs have a majority and while they'd love to keep the narrative running that the dems are the issue, if they refuse to pass this they'll clearly be the cause of the shutdown. That said, the bill also requires all the people cheeto fired during the shutdown to be immediately rehired and given back-pay. So he might take that as a personal slight and refuse to sign it into law. Which would be insanely funny.

I don’t think any lawyer in the city could have written me a better rebuttal letter. I know ChatGPT sucks at many aspects, but for some reason it’s an insanely capable lawyer.
