Gemini, write up a due diligence report for Google in the style of Cormac McCarthy: It is a four trillion dollar beast sitting on a ridge of silicon and gold, devouring one hundred billion in a single quarter and bleeding pure profit. They forge the iron wood of the new AI gods in the dark factories, spending ninety billion to hold the future in their teeth, even as the government men ride out with their papers and their knives to cut the ad empire apart. The judge Brinkema has ruled it a sin and the divestiture looms like a thunderhead, yet the stock trades at three hundred and twenty and the P/E ratio laughs at the gravity of the law. It is a titan built on rock and data and if you have the heart for the risk you take the share and hold it against the coming night, waiting for the fire or the rain.

That the focus is in the wrong area? Maybe allowing millions of people to enter our country, and encouraging it, over a four year prior, leads to a boomerang effect where the new administration is forced a hand where they actually have to actually enforce the law? Are there ICE agents overstepping? Yes. Can I walk into Canada without being arrested? No. What causes this situation? Is your solution to have massive illegal immigration into the US unchecked indefinitely?

The law of tooth and claw. The strong eat the weak. When the inferior consume resources that could otherwise be used by the strong they should be exterminated. Does this sound familiar? Its been said before in the past. A little investigation will prove its results.

> 1998 Higher Education Amendments: This critical amendment eliminated the seven-year waiting period entirely, making federal student loans non-dischargeable throughout the entire loan period unless undue hardship was proven. This was signed into law by President Bill Clinton. > 2005 Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act (BAPCPA): This act extended the "undue hardship" standard to include nearly all private student loans, making them just as difficult to discharge as federal loans. This was signed into law by President George W. Bush. Then-Senator Joe Biden was a prominent supporter of the 2005 bill, though the bill had broad, bipartisan support. Both parties created this problem.

Lutnik on trade deals with EU (im paraphrasing bloomberg): \- EU should drop antitrust/litigation on US megacaps \- EU can then invest in US datacentres (lmao??) \-US would then drop steel tariffs/other stuff Interesting stuff, idk how acceptable it is to EU. Simply 'dropping' their laws, on a whim isnt something a rule of law democracy should do but ok. Then the 'tax' required from EU would be spend on US datacentres. Thats so scary, really means US has no money left for this crap yikes. And EU gets what, less tariffs on steel, i guess a win for some national audiences.

Have to agree. We're seeing "candidate A shoots first and asks questions later", while they shoot the country in the dick. Candidate B wouldn't have shot anything, they never would've taken the safety off in the first place. It takes some serious retard strength to do what this admin has done and gotten away with (so far). Turns out you can do crime in broad daylight, knowing it's illegal, and just kick the legal repercussions down the road while the plan takes shape and law lags.

>Ai has replaced all workers Had us in the first half 😂. Scaling law is breaking. AI still wildly hallucinates, mightily struggles to generalize without extremely sensitive and expert prompts. Companies shilling vibe coding boasting about growth now becoming quiet. If AI were actually good it would automate much of farming and food costs would plummet. Instead we're getting the opposite because it's trash and just a giant pit of burning resources.

Yes but 7 - 8 years ago there was not an existing multi-billion dollar a year industry to potentially destroy. The word is that plugging the farm bill loophole was a personal agenda by Sen MConnell and the others who crafted the bill. It's not a 180 on cannabis policy reform. Reform will still move forward towards regulating cannabis intentionally by law not through a loophole.

>Law firm Clifford Chance is cutting about 10 per cent of its business services staff in London, pointing to increased use of **artificial intelligence** as one reason for the job losses. Roughly 550 employees, in areas including finance, HR and IT, were told last month about plans to make some 50 jobs redundant and to bring in role changes for up to 35 others, according to people with knowledge of the details. The elite firm, where partners earned an average of £2.1mn in the past financial year, told staff that **greater use of AI and reduced demand for some business services** meant that it needed to cut jobs, the people said.

what depreciation losers don't understand is, you can ship all older GPUs into some cheap electricity region and run batch jobs for enterprise and charge them $ for that, because there is always demand for compute.
