I’ve been practicing law for over a decade and have been following this case. While I think the law supports the argument that the Trump administration exceeded its statutory authority under IEEPA, and SCOTUS’s conservative bloc is very much against Congress delegating its legislative authority, I wouldn’t be surprised if the court made a middle of the road decision or even reversed the decision below. The market’s reaction is even more difficult to gauge.
