WMT is letting uber eat their lunch. Allowing them to mark up on their hard work to distribute locally. They need to tighten up on the uber shopper system and squeeze some of the free cash out of it. That’s what I’d focus on as CEO

People are dropping down socioeconomic classes, groups of the formerly aspirational middle class are dropping down the shopping ladder because they can no longer afford their premium shopping at Whole Paycheck. This is the furthest thing from positive for the economy - in a good economy the number of aspirational shoppers moving up to more expensive options that signal status should be increasing. Good for WMT is bad for the rest, I fear for my long positions.

I have made so much money off WMT this year. I have lost so much money off WMT this year.

Should be an interesting two days with $NVDA, $WMT, and some actual economic releases tomorrow - If those three things cannot boost $SPY back above the SMA 50, we could be looking at a "Santa Sell-Off" rather than a "Santa Rally" this year.

I think we will see volume starting tomorrow. Today PM we have NVDA earning. Tomorrow morning we have WMT earning and first jobs data for the rate cuts. Its either gonna get too ugly or too good.

I was on their website last night looking at their holiday "deals"...I could get the same stuff for half the price at WMT, Amazon, or Kohls.  Target's going the way of Kmart, I dont see how they can turn it around

What assets would you buy? I have a hard time seeing anything worth buying. Metals are over-extended and trade with the market now. The best consumer goods companies have very high valuations (i.e. COST, WMT). Healthcare and pharma are OK, I guess, but not too thrilled about those either.

NVDA's earnings are going to be the talk of the town this week, but so are HD, WMT and TGT's. All the chips in the world are going to mean fuck all if everyone is maxed out with credit and poor.

NVDA and WMT will blow out earnings and raise guidance for FY 2026. The only thing that matters is that companies are growing EPS. Nothing else in the news matters. The last two weeks were a cooling off/shaking out. The icing on the cake is Buffet telling all these sideline boomers to jump into tech. Gobble gobble rally. Santa rally. Retire in 2026 rally.

Yeah, I just started a Roth in hood for that 3% match on Oct. 30 and take away the 3% match and the portfolio is down 1.96%. Still have $3200 on the sidelines waiting but I only have until eoy. Playing this like my 401k so ITOT, IXUS, AGG, SPY, QQQ, QQQI, SPYG, WMT and SCHD
