Well, done for the day. Sold my QQQ calls last night for a tiny loss, and dumped all my GLD, SLV, and USO calls this morning for like a 300% gain across them all. Have to see how things shake out for the play tomorrow.

There's a pretty solid ceiling on 30y yields at 4.85. Anything above that and banks can make too much free and easy money on the spread between those yields and the fed rate to not buy. There's also a pretty solid floor on oil at 60. Anything below that, and production because cost inefficient for some places and they start to shutdown, diminishing supply in return. I started with about a 10k capital basis and have made about 15k in the last 1.5 months by playing the chop in USO and TLT.

I think CVX is best placed for VZ oil projects, they have been there longer than anyone US based. More hopeium than real money. The market will like the idea. I also expect USO to continue to rise, I have calls for 75 end of month. Oil markets like stability more than anything. Long term I am not very positive on the oil stuff coming from VZ. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t money to be made short term. Cleared half my CVX calls for 100%. I might not be retarded enough for this place though.

Yeah, unless option liquidity is really good, sometimes you have to go more than one strike apart. It's actually usually more cost effective on larger priced tickers too. I actually have a 68/69.5 debit call spread on USO right now

I thought USO was primed to blow this week with everything going on with Opec and the call volume/OI, but it ain't lookin good.

I dont have any short term trade ideas at the moment. Im in short euro, and yen futures, long ETH futures, long UNG calls and USO calls. All of which are 1 month plus trades. I dont see any major upside potential for stocks into the end of the week, maybe 0.5-1% so calls probably won't pay. If you have margin trading you could buy a long call butterfly on SPX 6725/6750/6775 for this Fridays expiration. Its probably around 300$ in debit paid for a maximum reward of 2200$ if spx is at 6750 on friday.
