When you realize the concept of money fundamentally entails that all money (usd, bitcoin, euro, gold, etc) has no defined value, and that prices of assets are based 100% on what the next idiot is willing to pay for it, you understand that stocks can literally just go up forever. Every large move in both individual stocks and markets broadly are 100% sociological and psychological in nature and have nothing to do with economic or financial factors whatsoever.

Depends on strike. This week when I’ve made some bet with small change twice I’ve 10x’d it. Those were OTM lottos from the bottom. My problem is that when I make a bet up to 200 usd max it usually works out but whenever I try it with more cash it completely blows up in my face.

I am glad I rebalanced my 401k from 100% stocks to 50% international, 30% low volatility stocks, rest in TIPS. I am out of US markets until taco is in charge. USD is devaluating rapidly ,inflation out of control, economy in turmoil, AI bubble, people using buy now pay later to buy food wtf.... Had a nice ride for the last 18 years and rode the full bull market and now time to preserve those retirement gains.
