US government buying $200 billion in mortgage bonds 5. New $1.2 trillion funding bill signed into effect 6. Trump saying USD is "doing great" after -10% drop

Morning regards, hope you slept well. Just wanted to outline my strategy- continuing real time fomoyolo shit. I'm all in on Gold, Silver, short USD paired long SEK. Also own Norweigian oil/gas giant. Thesis: if the dollar instability and global tension continues, I continue to profit massively and will earn enough money to afford a solid gold coffin for me and my family in about 6 months time. If, by some strange incredible ridiculous happening, peace breaks out on Earth, I lose all of my money. I will own nothing, I will be happy. I like those odds! Enjoy your Sunday.

Its utility as an alternative currency is different than its value as a speculative investment. Why do US corporations own billions of dollars worth of it? Not because they plan to use it as an alternative currency to USD lol. So while it’s a safe place to put your money if you’re in a collapsing economy literally at odds with the US then okay but that doesn’t mean it’s the same situation for the stability of the United States.

Like I know this isn't a poli sub, but how can you genuinely talk about the current markets without bringing it up?the country's economic decisions outside of the FED are being made by people who genuinely believe crap that goes beyond Qanon level stupidity, they're all barely literate, and they're all giant nepo-babies. For many of them, they were genuine nobodies and losers who were put in leadership positions solely based on being pdf files and being controllable. If I took the advice of people on here back at the beginning of 2025 to "not be emotional", and not divesting from American indexis and USD, I would've been down on the year. (Yes the USD crashing matters and IDK why people argue against this. Your dollar is worth far less than it was) Instead of the country run by open pdf files I went heavier in the country run by a banker/economist and am up about 30%. I'm not trying to flex or say I'm smart because I'm not. The people in charge have literally been promising to crash the economy, repeatedly. They've ousted nearly every competent civil servant regardless of conservatice/lib/apolitical affiliation, and replaced them solely with people who are in the files, or who genuinely believe in things like white-replacement Companies are laying off workers in the 10s of thousands due to "AI efficiency", then quietly offshoring those jobs to India and Bangladesh. I'm no genius, but consider investing in companies that make things instead of investing in barely functional chat bots that source info from reddit being valued at 700000000 gorillion dollars. I know nobody can be an expert in every field, but I know most of us are losers here so take a look at the video game situation to get an understanding of what's happening in other sectors. Video game related stocks have crashed down a good bit due to a company promising user AI genned video games, and what they put out to showcase this was riddled with errors, barely functional, and could last no longer than a few seconds. There's zero chance a functional product is ever released. So yes, many institutional investors are genuinely regarded and you shouldn't feel comfort that you're following them. Most of them are where they are specifically due to being born into it, and have literally never had to think, work, or go to school in their entire lives.
