Last year I was about to invest all of my money into Digital Ocean : DOCN but I read a comment on yahoo finance about how the share based compensation was excessive and too high given the cash flow from operations, so I decided not to. Instead I chose to fully invest into Amazon, as I liked it from a robotics / cloud computing standpoint, and how much operating leverage it had. Fast forward one year and instead of being up 300% I'm down 10% on the stock and down 10% on devaluation of the $USD. I guess shit like this is what makes you a better investor in the end of the day though.

It'll stay elevated while China is manufacturing solar panels and 🥭 is actively tanking USD and the postwar order. Wouldn't be surprised at 100 EOM.

Hard truth: Silver over the last little bit is trading like a meme stock moving from retail not being able to afford gold shares or futures but wanting to follow the movement of it. Gold is the wealth preservation vehicle for USD instability.

Some sectors perform better than the rest of the SPY. In those sectors, there are extremely good-performing stocks. However, since USD is very doo doo, the difference won't make enough profit in the stronger currency side which is the Euro in this case. Thus it is better for overseas investors in Trump's presidency to either focus their investment in their native country's economic zone or just throw it toward a developing country that is stabilizing and growing, or a stronger economy than theirs.

if you've been following along the DXY the last few weeks, you'll notice it's tanking after the Takaichi election win yesterday in Japan. i think her win was already priced in, which is what was behind the surging USD after it cratered a couple weeks back. mainstream media is still talking about the "Takaichi trade," for a declining yen, but as you know, their headlines are always late. if i had to guess, maybe today is a "sell the news" on yen weakness (so, yen going up for a little?) and we'll get more natural USD/FX/DXY action over the next few months, trading within a range/going sideways

The people who said a huge USD drop meant stocks would go up were right…

Oh you own this thingy. This thingy value when you buy is 500 USD . If you hold this thingy before the announce date to dividend you will have some spare money. Since it dividend rate is 0.25% a year. If this thingy over time get it value increase to 550 usd. When it dividend you get 0.25% of it value (550\*0.25%\*1) which is equal to 1.375 USD. If this thingy over time get it value decrease to 450 usd. When it dividend you get 0.25% of it value (450\*0.25%\*1) which is equal to 1.125 USD. After the dividend rate it will decrease it value for you to get the dividend. You will have both the thingy and some spare money to invest in other things.
