It's always negative EV to exercise an option before expiration. It literally only makes sense on the date of expiration (after hours, when it's ITM). Otherwise they have some time value left on them that you lose. You make more money by selling the calls on the open market and buying the underlying (ie: RKLB shares) on the open market.

I should've done the same, LEAPS are usually good to me. To soothe my soul I exercised some well! aged RKLB $5Cs today to feel like a got a bargain. I do like RKLB a lot; could see it hitting triple digits when SpaceX ipo's, maybe sooner.
