Tough spot. QQQ looks for the world to have triple topped (while SPY managed to make new highs on each of those same three peaks, so try to figure out that divergence bc I can't), but the VIX has a terrible technical setup of its own. If the patterns somehow were to play out, the QQQ would fall along with the VIX, while somehow SPY would move higher. I guess we'll see if the war stuff (*should* be insanely bullish across the board) causes a VIX spike, which would make this all make sense, or maybe the QQQ will play catch-up. If it doesn't by mid-week, I'm shorting it for protection. Easy out: buy rare earths. Beaten down for months and like 50% off their ATH, and it's the best war sector to buy these days, imo.

The US is basically at war now with venezuela. The VP and defense ministry have not capitulated or anything. Trump framing this as already having won is simply not true. If the markets price this as a war economy spy and qqq will tank. I'm very surprised bitcoin hasn't sold off yet. Gold at least should get a big bump no matter what happens.

everyone thinks the market is in an accumulation phase but it’s actually the exact opposite. we’re in a distribution phase. big money is slowly offloading, and it’s getting more obvious when you look at the fact that qqq hasn’t even been able to sniff the october highs.
