I sell CSP. Curious what you guys think of my strat here. So I had sold 2 csp 185 on NVDA expiring this week. This morning's dip caused my csp to go up in value from 900 to 1100. So what I did was check the chart, everything looks really oversold and violently dropped, I buy back 1 of those CSP at a loss, and open a lower strike for the same expiry. I figure if negative volatility adds, itll fall back off just as quick - but since the stock price fell a bit, it wont crush my higher strike csp as hard, so I move down. So after this mornings dip I went from 2x 185P 12/19 @ 9.00 each to 1x 185P at 9.00 and 1x 180P at 6.3. I figure I take a small loss on the contract but, the 180 allows me to grab that whole 630 a bit easier once the downtrend stops. Any thoughts? Should I just hold the original csp's through the wave?
