If anyone here has a portfolio of all shares they are long on. Like myself. I want to get some puts as a hedge. I guess my question is how far out would be a good DTE for a hedge put ? Let’s say i wanted to hedge my NVDA shares with a put. Should I look at puts 6 months out ? Shorter DTE or longer ? Thanks. I do sell covered calls sometimes but I want a hedge to a steeper correction in the market.
