They’re definitely sitting on a lot of valuable resources. Getting it out of the ground is expensive though, it will take a while to ramp up neodymium extraction and refinement and sell in large enough quantities to the government or through approved buyers to become reliably profitable. Until their new facilities come online (~2028), I wouldn’t be surprised if they continue to post losses, then again I might be surprised (6 Nov earnings). Meanwhile China could fill the gap with excess supply of rare earths. China holds the cards, and tomorrow they show their hand.
