Last week iren announced a $850m convertible note which tanks a stock for a bit and BITF just did AH. Basically the company is taking a loan from investors which can be paid back with shares or interest whichever is higher. The immediate drop is investors scared bc shares might multiply in the future. Idk it’s just super unlucky if you have short dated calls, your long calls are probs chill.

Only if you can't sustain the interest on the loan. As long as you have your home, you basically just wiped out all your equity in it in the banks eyes. But as long as the loan / amount you owe the bank doesn't exceed the amount they can reposses + liquidate your home for you're fine. I didn't do that lol, fuuuuuuck that. Quickest / easiest way to lose it all.

yep - as long as you use your home as collateral. They let you take out like 70% of it's value as a no-questions asked loan. So long as your home doesn't drop by 20%+ you can just do whatever the fuck you want with the money. Interest accures into the loan itself - you don't even have to pay it off immedialtey. The loan just keeps growing until it passes a threshold and they reposses your home & liquidate it to cover the loan. Otherwise -- you're fine. The rates are more or less equivalent to a mortgage plus like 50basis points. You could have done that and punted it into crypto without issue, yes - and I know people DID. That's literally what that video was discussing... IE: It's basically a second mortgage, no questions asked, that you can buy your lambo with if you want. Or bitcoin - which these guys did. Leveraging your home / assets!

It's called a mortgage / using your home / something of value as collateral. You can get a HELOC if you already own your home and use that - for example. If you have a million dollar home, you can get a 700k+ loan with literally no questions asked. If you have no assets - not gonna work well.
