Currently, if a merchant accepts Visa, they have to accept all Visa cards. Now with the deal, they can reject any card they want under the Visa umbrella. This means they can reject Visa premium rewards cards as they charge a higher interchange fee. It’s the Amex farce all over again

Merchants have only accepted specific credit cards for years. What’s different? My wife has a specific credit card for Costco because they don’t take her Discover card. AmEx has always been hit or miss.

Work a job I hate that barely brings home enough money to pay down my credit card debt. I’ll continue to do this for another 15 till my wife gets really bored and leaves me, taking my kids and half my 401k. I’ll then be living in an apartment seeing my kids on the weekend while having to take sobriety tests in order for them to stay that long.
