I don't know if I can be convinced that the surge this year has anything to do w/ retail. I personally believe it's the likes of china and russia (and other central banks). Just as the price of BTC has doubled since last year...not from retail, but from company adoption. Retail is too broke to buy anything and probably going to get steamrolled this cycle even when the bear market returns.

Bitcoin ATMs are making a big chunk of their profits from fees (charging 20-30% over spot price) from old people getting scammed by people overseas, usually India.
