Market and gold work very differently. Gold doesn't have inelastic demand. Unlike BTC supply it also increases as the price goes higher. Many unattractive mines become economically viable.

I disagree. As long as fiat around the world keeps debasing, geopolitical instability and authoritarian tendencies continue to exist, demand for BTC will thrive. There will be persistent demand for zero storage cost, globally portable and censorship resistant store of value. That said, even without that the secular forces pushing for its success are too powerful to overcome.

They just bought more btc. If you follow the treasury companies at all, they always tend to dip on the days they do that.

Does anybody stop to think about what would happen to BTC in a 2008 style recession where people are losing their jobs and worried about putting food on the table. Nobody would give a shit about fake internet money. Also some of the meme coins like doge are down 30 to 50 percent.

QQQ is up 23% YTD. BTC is up 21% YTD. One has the possibility of dumping 40% overnight, the other does not. As someone who use to think having exposure to crypto was essential, it is clear that with each passing day, it is less and less enticing as an asset class. Gone are the day where you could make 2x, or more returns. Now you still have all the downside risk like before, with not even 30% of the upside potential. Shorting every bitcoin rip has been very profitable this year.
