Kind of depends on what ticker entries I’m looking for but some things I generally look for (mostly tied) to my risk tolerance and experience: high VIX days, roughly around 30DTE (unless I’m waiting on a catalyst) cause it usually gives me enough premium and decays fast enough for me to sleep well, and I generally try not to go short puts around earnings bc of volatility and uncertainty (I know you said you’re looking at ETFs but I just thought I’d throw that out there). Take this with a grain of salt though lol, my risk appetite may be very different than yours

All my bikes are Treks bc I was born into a family had been going to the same Trek-associated LBS since the 1980s and I carried on the brand loyalty. (But I did stop going to that particular LBS. Bunch of snobby shitheads, even to multi-generational customers.) My only steel bikes are an 80s Trek road bike made from butted Reynolds 531 that I'm in the middle of rebuilding & a really basic mid-2000s Trek hybrid. Everything else is aluminum, which I actually like a lot. Most aluminum frames are so over-engineered that aluminum fatigue is practically a non-issue. Still have the MTB from my teenage years, but my first new MTB in more than a decade on my work stand in the garage. Got a great deal on the frameset and have been building it up. I hope to finish it tonight. I also bought my first e-bike about year ago, which surprisingly replaced my car for most trips. So naturally, I bought a 2nd e-bike and am currently building a 3rd using a hybrid Trek 29er frame. Got the motor from Grin Technologies up in Canada & I am currently building the battery myself out of 21700 cells.
