Yeah, they ran a bunch of tests on me for various GI issues for a whole year before it even got to the point of mucus shits: an endoscopy, a bunch of scans, and many blood tests. They just put me on an absurd dose of antacids (which I've now been taking every day since I was 15). By the time I was shitting mucus - which only started months after they completed those tests, told me I was just crazy, and threatened to put me in an inpatient psych ward bc I was too nauseated to go to school - I didn't even tell anybody. WTF were they going to do about it? Put me in the asylum? Anyway, my friend was just telling me about how she got food poisoning on a trip to Florida & it fucked her stomach up for years. Doctors found nothing originally & she lived with it for years, but she just found a specialist and it turned out that she had a rare parasite the whole time. My stomach issues also didn't start until after I got food poisoning on a trip to Florida. Thinking about going to her doctor to see if I also have a parasite. Been having stomach issues & taking an absurd dose of antacids for 14 years now, which is most of my life at this point.

Southwest Airlines has been bitching at the Nashville Airport for spending too much money on new gates & the like. The capital improvements that airports make get passed down to airlines, of course. Southwest is pissed bc it's a low(er) cost airline that just set up a hub at Nashville, so they're paying much of the cost. Nashville's airport responded to Southwest's bitching by releasing plans to build an additional terminal for like $4.5B. All the while, there are seemingly zero serious plans to fix the airport's traffic issues - which have led passengers to walk to the terminal from the interstate. I guess Elon is apparently building a boring company tunnel, but, uhhh, lmfao... In general, Nashville is a mess. The city grew too fast while residents continuously voted against necessary infrastructure improvements, like real mass transit and flood protection. Now there are too many people using bare minimum infrastructure & it's a shit show. Traffic is shit; property values are in a bubble but perhaps middle class folks can still afford homes inside of floodplains; Downtown is a tourist-filled nuance; nearly every civic project is deeply misguided while the civic projects that the City should focus on just don't happen. Really there's just too much to yap about in this thread, but y'all should be shorting the fuck out of Nashville. What a house of cards.
